In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Content

This update also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive abilities: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
