Manchester United Poised to Secure German Striker Lea Schüller away from Bayern Munich
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of sealing the deal for prolific German striker Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Acquisition for the WSL Side
The forward, with half a year left on her contract, has been a consistent goal-getter for both club and country. She has netted over 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival is viewed as a major coup for the Women’s Super League side.
Departure from Bayern was expected since she was seen holding back emotions while applauding the German club’s fans following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its top forwards. Per reports, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed.
Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen the Forward Line
The 28-year-old’s signing should represent a major boost to United’s attacking options. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in Germany’s top flight.
