This latest animated series, the most recent animated adventure from Critical Role, revealed a new introductory sequence. It features our favorite group of outcasts, outcasts, and rogues kicking ass and taking names, while also hinting at multiple heart-wrenching personal histories for key figures such as the voice actor's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's warlock orc, Fjord.

Overall, the intro appears amazing. However, I felt that an element was lost in the music selection.

This sequence employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song created by producer and singer the talented musician. It's a track from the soundtrack album of the same name, the second one released by the production company's record label their music brand. It's a great sentimental choice, and I believe that fans of the sequel series will appreciate its presence.

Personally, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and energy that was part of the show's actual-play adventure. "Your Turn to Roll", written by singer-songwriter the artist, was an instant classic in my view when it was initially unveiled in that year, and it improved further when cast member the performer added lyrics to the tune for the animated Campaign 2 opening in 2018.

Featuring vocals from one actress, another performer, Travis Willingham, as well as the writer, the song was memorable and enjoyable. At the time, I hadn't seen the second campaign yet, but this was such an earworm that I still saved it on my phone. This track that excites you before you dive into an episode of fantasy hijinks.

The show's opening with "Welcome to Wildemount" fails to hit the right notes in my opinion. It's an impressive composition, but from what I know of the group, I feel that its mood is a little off.

Of course, Critical Role has stated that the series will have a few changes and differences from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its opening seems to be among these.
